This is for Form and Structure. I chose to do my final project as an installation. We had to create a relationship between a vertical surface and a horizontal surface. I chose to create shelves, an index kind of of these glass vials and non-funtional lightbulbs. In these vials is dried lavender. 
My main idea was that flowers will not grow when not in soil, they are dead in these man-made glass vials. In the same way, our man-made lightbulbs will not be powered by an organic substance, the wood shelf. As the shelves move upwards from the ground the vials get smaller, more constricting and more impractical. 

I thought of the idea at 10 30 this morning while buying random things at active surplus, worked on it, had a nap, worked in the woodshop, and just finished it and mounted it on my wall to see how it looked. 10 hours and one final project done in one day, A DAY EARLY.
