Anonymous: i'm sorry if this is a silly question, what timezone are you in? i want to make sure i get a soft anatomy print so i want to make sure i'm on your shop as soon as it opens. :)
Awe! That makes me so happy. Pretty sure I’m GMT -5?
(Time zones have always confused me, especially because we just had daylight savings time)
Right now, here it is 10:30pm, and in the UK it is 2:30 am. Not even sure if that helps.
I’ll be announcing the link to my etsy shop tomorrow at noon! Keep an eye out if you’re interested in purchasing something! I’ll have a variety of prints and drawings and cards in a range of prices.
This is very exciting for me, thanks to all of YOU lovely followers, for your messages, questions and support! :D
Have a wonderful day/night, where ever you are.
"Early Bird" Rebecca Ladds, 2010. Drypoint.
My favourite print I have done to date.
"Earth Wisdom Woman" Rebecca Ladds, 2010.
"In Wildness is the Preservation of the World" Rebecca Ladds, 2009.
Going through old prints from grade 10 and up.
*Finished* “Ethnosphere” Rebecca Ladds, 2011.
A friend had asked if I was going to sell copies of this, like photo-mechanical reproductions..ie. posters. If I did, would that be something any of you would be interested in buying?
It’s 17”x21”. Fairly large for a drawing. Poster size. :)
AND those who have been eagerly waiting, I will announce the opening of my shop on Thursday!! The url is secret until then. :) Hope you’re all well!

“In Wildness is the Preservation of the World”
Wow I submitted this months ago, guess I should include it on this blog.
"Soft Anatomy [Study 3]" Rebecca Ladds, 2011.
can you post a pic of your self?
Just this once because I’m drawing anyway. and wanted to show you guys the progress. I seem to be letting ‘Ethnosphere’ get a little edgy!
BUT if you want to see mass amounts of vain pictures of myself, you’ll probably be satisfied with following my personal tumblr HERE. This blog is for my art not my face!
"Chameleon Skull" Rebecca Ladds, 2011. Pine wood.
This still isnt finished ( I plan on using woodstain and mass amounts of lacquer) but this is the condition in which it was critiqued today in form and structure class.
About 40 hours of work. It’s probably about 2ft long, and 1 ft wide.
It’s a good thing THE JAW FELL OFF AND SNAPPED INTO 7 PIECES after the critique when I was going back into the woodshop to fix a crack in it.
I’ll spend probably about 20 more hours on it, twice as much to try and salvage the jaw again.
Either way, I’m very happy with the result. My first attempt at ever doing this kind of woodwork. Plus it looks pretty badass mounted on the wall.
