I’ve been getting the same questions over and over again, and because I try not to answer them publicly, it’s pretty repetitive.
What are you doing right now?
I am currently completing my first year at OCADU in Toronto, Canada. In my second year I will be majoring in printmaking, and minoring in material art and design: jewellery making. I’m self-employed (or starting to be) with the help of all of you!
Where can I buy your work?
Can I buy a print of “Soft Anatomy”?
They will be in my etsy shop! HOWEVER, there will only be around 20 listed, seeing as that’s all I have. I wasnt able to get many more prints from my plate because plexiglass slowly gets eroded. I will have plenty of other drawings and goodies in varying price ranges.
Can I pre-order a print?
It’s just first come first serve unfortunately. This is the first time I’ve done anything like this so it’s a learning process for me. I’m keeping it simple. I will make a post a day in advance letting you know the time I’ll list them, so you can try to get on when they go up.
Do you do tattoo designs for a commission?
I will, but keep in mind I won’t draw things that aren’t in my style of art. I.e. if you want a nautical/traditional style tattoo, a portrait or pinup girl, you’re better off going to a tattoo artist. What I mean by ‘my style of art’ is basically that everything I do looks kind of unified. Take a look through my tumblr and you might be able to envision what your design could look like.
I specialize in feathers, birds, dreamcatchers, bunnies, deer, flowers, bones and that type of thing ;) (HINT: I like hatching more than shading, think, Guy le Tattooer)Send me a message on either blog and I will will send you a message with my email address and we can set up correspondence.
Can I get your work tattooed on me?
Sure! I’d love to see pictures if you do!
How will I pay you for a tattoo commission?
I will charge you for a drawing through paypal, and mail you the original drawing, so you have a design, and an art piece for your money! Price will vary based on size and amount of detail, anywhere from $10-$100
Can I re-draw your art?
Why would you? If you must. CREDIT please!
Can I use your designs for a t-shirt/submit it for a t-shirt contest?
No. Please do not use my images without my permission or for profit.
What materials do you use for your illustrations?
I use black waterproof Speedball india ink, as well as sometimes Koh-I-Noor drawing inks in burnt sienna and raw sienna.
I use a ball pointed calligraphy nib, and a miniscule hatching nib for the details.
I draw on beige and buff Stonehenge or Fabriano printing papers, and some drawings on recycled paper cardstock. I also use any old brand of tube watercolour paints.
